Au Pair in Blue Bell

Today we had a busy day, and the kids looked forward to it. They watched some smurfs in the morning, and we had to leave for the girls playdate around 9.30. The time before went on really fast, cause we also played some boardgames. I have realized I need to try to get the girl a better looser. Or, not really a better looser, cause she quits when she sees that she might loose, and mess the whole game up. Hard to play though. This is gonna be a goal for me this year, think it's hard to suceed, but can at least try!

Found my way to her playdate, and then I took the boy to soccertraining. Training is with a personaltrainer for individual training. Think he likes it. He had training for an hour and I sat down to wait, bought a smoothie in the café and the guy there asked me if I was scandinavian.. is it that obvious?! Haha. Anyway, when his soccer was done we went to have some lunch at a "healthy fast food" place. My hostmum recommended it, and I guess she knows.



We saw this awesome car outside of the Athletic club where he has got soccer. I just: wow, I want it!





BRYNandDANE´S it is! It tasted really good. The boy's quesadillas was nice.

After lunch we picked up the girl at her playdate and went home. My hostmum texted me in the morning about another playdate between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. so we just got home and then their friends came over. They played really good together, it is nice when both of the kids have got someone to play with.

My hostmum got home and took them for soccer, so I was finally off around 5.30 p.m. Went downstairs to my room and found out there was soccerpractise for me to today, I like that instead of the gym! Went to soccer around 7.50 and came home 10.30. I'm so tired, but my body is still pumping out adrenalin, so it's hard to fall asleep. Have to realx for a while.

Tomorrow is another busy day with birthdayparty's and soccer, but it's great! :) Just have to add that the girl said like this to me today: " You're my nanny so I should listen to you." Cute of her I think, think I'm getting closer to her and she let's me in!

Today there was  a lot of laundry cause the twins also spent the weekend here. But it was fine, didn't have time to carry all the clean laundry out to the different rooms, but I'll do it tomorrow!:) We spent the whole day at home today, and they behaved really good, almost no fighting and that's positive! Before noon we played bordgames and we played some more different games. The boy made a lunchmanu that we could choose from, but I made the things offcourse, haha. He wanted a pizzabagel and she a sandwich.

After lunch we went out to the pool nad spent the afternoon there. They playe really nice together and I just enjoyed watching them. I played for a while too, but the poolwater was really cold! My hostmum came home and they left for carate. I went to the gym to go to a spinningclass at 5.15 p.m., but there are no classes this week, they are cleaning all the pools and all the different rooms. Guess I have to work out by my own this week, not so motivating, but I have to. Well, I went on the "stepmachine" for 1 hour. It was really nice afterwards!

I had dinner and went downstairs to take a shower. Never came to the shower right away, got stuck with my book, so the shower became a late one. Feels like I should spend more time with the family during the evenings. But I'm also so tired after the day, need some time alone, away from the kids during the evenings. Think that might get better when school begins, then I won't be with them the whole days and I'll have more energy to spend time with them in the evenings :)

Gonna sleep now, really tired but it's hard to fall asleep today, guess it's the homesickness again! Some nights are harder then others!

Raised up 9.30 today cause I couldn't sleep any more, the lovely children in the family woke me up ;) But it was okay, I can probably sleep tonight instead. I had american pancakes for breakfast and it was nice, second time since I got here. So not that often then ;)

L was gonna finish her pie that she began making yesterday and I was gonna bake a "dreamcake = drömtårta" today so we started up almost right away. She got impressed by how fast the dreamckae was ready, it's only supposed to be in the oven for 5 minutes and the cake was ready really fast.



This is the result! It tasted really good, yummie! The kids also liked it I think, seemed like that anyway ;)

Then L continued with her pie: Lemon/Maringue pie. Took a while but when is was done it looked so proffessional.



This one tasted realy good to! I liked the taste of the maringue and the citrus together. (It's citrusfilling under the maringue.)

We made dinner, my hostdad cooked some sausages and I made salad. After we had dessert, and today it was a big desserttable:



Some small pies we made with berries, my dreamcake, the Lemon/Maringuepie, the cake L made yesterday and some donuts and Brownie we had at home. A lot of different things. I've tried everything and my favourite is the Lemon/Maringuepie.

Well, after eating a lot of junk this weekend I felt that I needed to work out, so I sat on the bike in the gym for 30 minutes and walked fast on the treadmill for 20 minutes. Felt great, but I still feel fat, haha.

Well, after the hurricane yesterday the roof in my hostparents bedroom  in leaking and the pool was flooded. It wasn't that much damage, but I haven't been out of the house today so I don't know how it looks in the area around here. Guess some of the roads and damaged and flooded. Have to shower now, feel disgusting after working out.

It look like it's gonna be a great day tomorow outside, with sunshine. So hope we can spend time by the pool.

Well, not been doing so much this weekend, so feel so sleepy, will fall asleep early today.

Orkar inte skriva på engelska idag, är alldeles för trött men kan inte sova ändå!
Aja, kom som sagt hem rätt sent igår från Andrea, och klockan ringde 8 för fotboll, så det var bara att masa mig ur sängen och åka och träna. Gick väl hyffsat, men är fortfarande svårt med översättningen från svenska till engelska! Försöker snappa upp lite ord lite här och var, blir väl lite små framsteg.. Blir nog ingen mer fotboll förrän tordag nu(förhoppningsvis kan vi träna då) pga regnet som nu öser ner och har gjort hela dagen. Vi tränade inte på planen idag heller iofs, tycker dom är lite mesiga jag, haha. Dom tror att minsta lilla ska förstöra, så dom stänger av planerna.. Och planerna är ju så mycket sämre än hemma i Sverige ändå.. Och där tränar vi i regn ;)

Kom hem och där stod L, en av tvillingarna och kikade på recept, hon ville baka. Men först hade hon fotbollsträning som hon skulle på. De yngsta följde också med, så då var jag själv hemma helt plötsligt. Min värdmamma kom hem men hon var trött så hon somnade i soffan. Jag gick ner och la mig på sängen,  var så trött så somnade även jag, haha. Tror jag sov två timmar eller nåt! Men det var skönt, bara det att det är svårt att väcka kroppen efteråt, kände mig jätteseg.

L bakade och bakade och bakade, tror hon höll på i typ tre timmar eller nåt, massa olika chokladmousse och hallon/vitchokladmousse och grejer som skulle vara på tårtan. Samtidigt gjorde min värdpappa middag, revbensspjäll, kyckling i ugn och majskolvar. Det var mums! Tårtan som L gjort såg också riktigt god ut!



Först chokladbotten, sen chokladmousse, och högst upp hallon/vitchokladmousse. Smakade underbart kan jag säga. Hon är duktig på att baka :)

Tog på min pyjamas vid åttatiden för kan ju ändå inte åka nånstans idag då det regnar för mycket och orkanen är på ingång. Vi myste ner oss i soffan och slog på en film. Just nu kan jag inte sova även fast jag är superdupertrött. Hör vinden ute och regnet som öser ner. Hoppas tröttheten tar över snart så jag kan sova i natt!

Det de säger på nyheterna är att orkanen redan krävt fem liv i North Carolina och att det är en stor förödelse den orsakat. Den beräknas drabba NY inatt/imorgon. I NY är hela tunnelbanesystemet avstängt och all buss och tågtrafik. Även här är buss och tågtrafiken avstängd. Vi har plockat in en del grejer vid poolen, annars lär de väl blåsa bort.

Imorgon blir en dag inomhus antar jag då vi förmodligen kommer blåsa bort om vi går ut, vill inte ens prova. Tänk vad naturen kan orsaka!

Hoppas på några timmars sömn nu. Oj då, nu försvann strömmen här med. På nyheterna nu utfärdar de Tornado warning! Herregud...

It was a great day today, the sun was shining and the kids were really excited to go to their playdate at 9 a.m. Drove them over to their friends house and were gonna pick them up around 11 a.m. The hours between that I went home to continue doing some laundry cause fridays are always a lot of it! All the sheets and the towels, but it's okey! :) Also skyped a little bit with mum, dad and Markus, nice! When I was gonna pick the kids up they didn't want to leave, cause they had a great time, but they had to.

We went home and I made them some lunch, then we went outside to play. It was to hot so we just changed to bathingsuits and jumped into the pool instead. Better! Played in there for about two hours and then continued playing inside. We played jumping frog again.



It's fun actually, but still hard! Then me and the boy plaed some soccer in the basement until they had to leave for soccertraining. The twins also came today, and when they got home I thought my hostdad had bought food for a looong time, haha. Maybe it's cause of the incoming hurricane Irene, but I don't know ;) Good anyway. I ate dinner with all of them and then prepared to go bowling with Andrea and Lara. I also asked Terese is she wanted to come, and she wanted to. So she drove to my place and we drove together to the bowling Alley. We played two games there and had a nice talk with the guys that played on the lane next to us. Aways nice meeting americans! :) Maybe going to appelbees tomorrow to meet them again.

we decided to do something more after bowling so we went to WaWa and bought some snack and then continued to Andrea's place. Ate icecream and talked for a lot of hours, then I realized I had to go home, cause I've got soccerpractice at 9 a.m. Got a little late, the clock is now 2.30 a.m. but I'll make it anyway! Don't know, but maybe my hostparents didn't liked when I got home this late, cause I heard a sound from upstairs and the door was opening, let's see what they say tomorrow! Hope it's okey cause my hostmum siad I didn't had lika a cerfew when I asked her.
Well, the evening/night was really nice, I enjoyed it!

Have to sleep now if I'm gonna have energy for soccer.

I played with the children during the whole morning inside, cause the rain was pouring down outside. We played JENGA and frog jumping. The last game was funny, haha. Tryed to shoot plasticfrogs against a moving tree, I was really bad at it! But in the end all of us got better and at least we could get one frog to land there and stay. My hostmum called me to ask how the weather was, and asked if I felt comfortable driving. I said sure, if I can see I can drive, so I drove them to artclass around 12. Then I went home again and skyped with my mum and dad, my sister and Markus. It is nice that I get some time each day to skype. I made my luch at home cause I didn't want the pizza that I was going to buy for the kids.



So I ate roastbeef, corn and carrots. Healthy today, but I eat a lot of junk to, I'm trying not to, but it is really hard!

Picked the kids up from art and took them to a pizzaplace to have lunch, cause I was gonna drive the boy to a playdate. When we got there the girl aso wanted to stay, but that wasn't posible, so I had to carry her out to the car. Sat in the car in like 15 minutes until she sat properly with her seatbelt on. The ride home went kind of quick and she fell asleep. Well, at home she refused to get out of the car, and when I carried her out and locked the doors she tried to get in again.. So I just let her do that and went inside. Thought she would stop, but finally I had to carry her to her room and give her a "Timeout". Then she acted good the rest of the time.

When my hostmum got home I left for a spinningclass at the gym and right now I am really tired after the class. And a little bit sad cause the soccer was cancelled today cause of the rain, the fields are too wet. Hopefully we can play on saturday morning.. I'll be home this weekend cause we are not allowed going to the shore cause of the incoming hurricane. They talk about it all the time in the news. It's gonna be really bad and we'll probably stay inside sunday, cause we maybe won't be able to go outside..

New day tomorrow, I wake up with new energy! ;)

The morning today was really good, the kids were nice to each other and could play together. Sometimes they did fight, but not very much, and it was easy to solve. We played a lot of games on the trampoline, I learn something new every day ;) It is fun actually. They also likes being on the swings, and playing games on them to, so that's what we do. I drove the kids to art and then my hostmum texted me that she would pick them up after work, she was early today. So I was nearly off from 12.15 p.m. today. Had to watch the kids for a little while when my hostmum worked but they were in the pool, so that was easy.

Had talked to Nicolina about meeting up and go to IKEA some day, and today we did it. She brought another swedish Au Pair to, Sophia. We met at 6.30 and drove there, it look just like at home, kind of fun actually! The signs are in swedish and all the names on different things also. Looks good! ;)

This is what I bought at the little foodstore they've got there. Will be great this weekend :)
I also bought photophrames to put pictures in. Gonna put them in the bookcase.

It's been a tough day today, the children has been fighting the whole day and it was really hard to make them stop! Me and the girl made some cookies and cakes with her "easybake" set. It was really easy, just add water to the powder, put the batter into the forms and then microwave it for 25 seconds: done! Don't think it's so healthy, but she enjoyed it and that's the important thing. But they kept teasing each other. Artclass was nice, cause I got a little break, but the teacher told me they had been fighting at artclass to!




Her cakes and cookies when they were done, with pink around the cakes and nice things as decorations on the cookies, really good! ;)

We had a playdate for them at 2 p.m. and we spent the time in the pool, great! Their Au Pair also stayed, she was really nice. Her name is Christiane and she's from Austria. Really liked her, hope to see her again soon :) Maybe set up a new playdate. But don't know either, cause the girl was screaming and so on, had to take her inside. Then when I came back she was sleeping. Probably that's the reason she was so hard to handle this afternoon, she was tired.

Had dinner and just kept waiting for the time to be 7.45 p.m. so I cold leave for soccer! A little bit nervous, haha! ;)
Had to find my way there and that wasn't the easiest thing to do.. Cause there is no adress there. My hostdad tried to give me directions so I could follow the streetsigns, but I got lost anyway, haha. It wasn't his directions that was the fault, it was my bad sense of direction, he told me to go north but I went south.. Finally I had to call him, then I ended up in the right place ;) The practice was good, not what I'm use to at  home but I could play goalie! Woho, finally! I really can do much better, but it's so hard to know how to talk in the goal in english, hard to translate from swedish. Have to learn ;) Anyway, they want me to play for them, and they are gonna order me a uniform tomorrow. It will cost me $150 to play(the uniform and teamfee), but it's worth it to play a more competative soccer! Anyway, I've noticed that everything costs money here, have to buy a soccerball to ;)

But I'm really happy right now, nothing could get me in an bad mood! With that I'm saying goodnight and let's hope it's a better day with the kids tomorrow :)

The morning today was really good! The children didn't fight and they cooperated with each other, how nice ;) They listened to me too, that's a step forward! Really want this to work! We spent the time before art outside cause the weather was really nice today, and not so hot anymore! We played kickball, jumped on the trampoline, went on the swings, they seemed to enjoy it!

The time when they were at artclass I spent at the pharmacy printing my pictures for my room, but I also skyped with mum and Markus! :) It's getting better!

Picked the children up and went straight home, my hostmum was allready home, early today :) She needed to do some work so I went outside with the children again, we played soccer in the circle. It was really nice! The family went to the Phillies game tonight so I'm alone at home. Went to a spinningclass at the gym, really exhausting! But feels great now.

I also bought a longsleeved soccershirt so I won't hurt my arms when I'm crawling on the ground to get the ball! ;)

Left Jackys place around 9.30 and took the 10.15 train home. It was nice getting home again! And my feet didn't want to walk anymore. Just lay down on my bed and stayed there with my computer until my hostparents got home. Got upstairs to say hello and so on, but no more, haha.

Has been skyping with Markus, mum, dad, Elin, and Tias :) Nice talking to all of you! My homesickness is really bad right now, but it got a little bit better when I talked to Tias, he really got me in a better mood and made me laugh a lot! That's great. Miss everybody so much right now, but I just need to take mysef through this tough period and then it'll be better. Jenny also said that and she has been here for  a yaer so she should know :)

Has put some pictures into my USB today so maybe I can print them tomorrow.. That would be good, wanna make like a collage on my wall! :)

Gonna take a shower and then sleep so I can get up 5.30 as usual tomorrow! Good night!

We left 7 a.m. from Jackys(she spells it like this ;) ) and bought breakfast at the trainstation. It was nice eating it on the bus to NY actually! The ride there went kind of fast cause I fell asleep and suddenly we were on 7th ave, 28th street. Saw the hotel where I was gonna meet Jenny and pick up my things later, so that was nice, then I  knew where it was. We bagan walking and I needed to find a pharmacy to tape my toes together.. It was even more purple today! Bought some nice cards at the pharmacy to!

That's my day in NY, we walked so much! But we had a really great time during the day. Met Jenny at her hotel at 5 p.m. and I got my stuffs, and a Marabou Chocolate, Jenny; you're an angel ;)  The bus home was about 1 hour late, but we wasn't in a hurry so that was fine, it was only our feet that complained, haha. They really hurted! And still does!

NY was great, really wanna go there again. And it's really good when you can make a daytrip there and the bus only costs $30 roundtrip, awesome!

Quick update today cause I'm at Jacqies place in Philly.

Raised up as usual today and the boy woke me up on the couch, haha. He wanted to play a baseballgame with cards, I learned more about baseball. The kids wanted to go bowling and that's what I planned to do. But they were fighting so much! Took a long long time until we could leave. A little bit better, and the bowling was really fun, they liked it!

Went home for lunch and stopped to buy them icecream, became popular, haha! Home we went to the pool and swimmed for a while, but they began fighting again so I took them inside. Began playing Mouce trap again, they enjoy it!

They went off to Long Island to visit their grandma, and I took a quick shower to get in time to the train for Philly and Jacqie! Now I'm at her place and we've ordered some food cause it's raining a lot, we don't wanna eb wet, we allready are!

When I were gonna leave my room to go upstairs to leave for the trainstation I bumped my toe into the bed, now it's swollen and really blue! Hurts so much! Have to ask my hostmum about it when she gets home.

Tomorrow we'll spend the whole day in NY, great! Hope I'll take a lot of pictures and put them here, wanna show you! :)

I was a little bit tired this morning cause I couldn't sleep last night, but it was fine actually, fell asleep on the couch again after I got upstairs, really nice! :) It was scary this morning, the lightning and thunder almost freaked me out, don't like it!
But anyway, when the kids got up they had some breakfast and then they watched The Smurfs again, haha! But it's great, cause I can make their beds and laundry and other things I need to do when they watch. The boy's pianoteacher came at 10 a.m. and me and he girl went outside on the trampoline for a while, fun in the rain! ;) Then we played her favoritegame:
Don't break the ice.



You are supposed to keep the iceskater on the ice, so he don't fall. You use a hammer to take down a piece of ice. The one who gets the skater down loses.

Then we played another game when the boy had finished his lesson: Mouse trap. It was also fun! They really liked it and we kept it so we could continue playing after artclass. My hostmum had ordered chinesefood for lunch so it was there on the driveway when we got home, really nice! :) We played almost the whole afternoon until we had to leave for karate. drove them there. As you can see they have a lot of differebt activities, and it'll be more when school begins ;)

On my way home from there I stopped at Montgommery mall to buy a USB stick and a headset, so now I've got it! :)



Also bought some more things I need. A bag for the gym and other things, that's a must have thing for me, use it all the time at home. Also one more T-shirt for soccer and soccersocks. Found a pair of softiepants on sale to, love them! Almost forgot to tell you that a guy in the line for the cashier helped me to explain a thing for the shop assisant, and then he asked me where I mwas from and if I wanted to take a coffee with him, haha. I didn't do it, I'm to shy!

Texted Andrea to see if she wanted to do something, and she wanted to. Went to the gym with her so she could set up a membership. Showed her around in the gym and I realized one more time how huge it is! But it's great! :) We went to WaWa and bought coffee, and I bought a chocolatecake. It tasted weird, Marabou is soooo much better! Gotta go to IKEA and buy it some day!

Today I began with "Time Outs" for the girl, cause she screams and doesn't listen to me. Think I carried her upstairs five times. Gonna keep doing it so she learn something about how to behave.

Jaa, idag blir det ett inlägg på svenska. Är för trött för att skriva på engelska idag! Tror gårdagen kommer ikapp mig nu, så ska försöka sova tidigt idag.

Idag var det iaf väldigt varmt ute igen, glad att det slutat regna så vi kan vara ute och leka, för dom tycker det är så mycket roligare :) Morgonen gick bra, dom åt frukost och sedan kikade vi lite på Smurfarna igen. Hmm, börjar bli lite less nu, men vad gör man inte ;) Tur det finns så många olika avsnitt! Avbröt det efter ett tag och sa att vi skulle gå ut, för det var så fint väder! Bytte lite tvätt medans de plockade fram grejer och så, kan ju se dem med dörren öppen. De bråkade om vem som skulle ha vilka grejer och vems det var, men lykades lösa det iaf! Men känns lite som om pojken får lida lite ibland för att syster hans tar sån tid, måste försöka skärpa mig med det! Svårt ändå när hon börjar bråket och jag inte vet hur jag ska hantera det. Ska fundera ut något bra sätt.

Gjorde pizza åt dem till lunch innan artclass för att vi efter den skulle åka direkt till en Playdate som jag och Priscila ordnat. Priscila är en Au Pair åt en av pojkens kompisar. Vi skulle dit och bada/leka i poolen. Hämtade dem och vi begav oss däråt, tackar återigen GPS:en :) Priscila hade köpt ballonger som de brukade fylla med vatten och leka med i poolen, så det gjorde vi. Barnen tyckte det var jätteroligt! Även vi, haha ;)



Hunden var också "i poolen", fast hon stod på en flytmadrass.

Åkte hem vid 3 p.m. och tjejen var så trött så hon somnade. När min värdpappa kom hem så gick jag ner till mitt rum för att prata lite på skype. Trevligt att Terese är hemma igen från sin semester, nu ska vi ses snart hoppas jag! :)
Kollade upp passen på gymmet och såg att det skulle vara ett spinningpass klockan 6.15 så bytte om och åkte. Det känns i kroppen såhär efteråt kan jag säga, men otroligt skönt! Ska försöka ta mig tid att träna mer. Kommer bli lite lättare när skolan kommer igång för barnen, för då kommer jag vara hemma på dagarna.

Nyss pratat med Jacquie igen angående helgen, och bestämde oss för att jag ska komma redan på fredag så vi kan åka tidigt på lördag! :) Ska bli kul, fredagkväll i Philly, och lördag i NY ;)

Raised up as usual 5.30 and went upstairs and almost fell asleep again, was in a dormancy. Woke the girl up around 7 a.m. cause I don't want her to sleep to long, cause then she won't be able to sleep in the night. We watched Smurfs and then made breakfast, vegetables for her and a bagel for the boy. Then they got dressed and I washed my own sheets. She barely wanted to brush her teeth, but after a lot of struggling she did it. We went outside to play, but it began raining so... just to go inside again! Down in the basement the girl continued to play with her lego and the boy actually helped me put clean sheets in my bed, haha, great! :)

Then we played for a while and took a snack before I drove them to artclass. Finally some time to rest my head! Skyped with my lovely boyfriend for a while and also with mum and dad! They have booked their flight to spend time with me here during newyears! Longing! Picked the children up at artclass and we went home for lunch. Made them some warm sandwiches, but the girl wanted hers cold, so, haha :) We continued playing, they played monopoly on the ipad, really goog thing to have sometimes;)

At 4.30 p.m. I drove the girl to a birthdayparty at a bowlingplace. We had made the birthdaycard during the afternoon.



It was really nice to do it, she likes to potter. The girl who had the birthdaypartys name began with a S, that's why the frontpage looks like this.

At the bowlinghall she seemed to have a great time, and think she liked bowling and playing with the girls from her class. It was sush a big birthdayparty, must have been at least 30 girls there! But they had fun.

On our ride home I tried to drive as my hostmum sometimes does...



It was actually reallt comfortable! Automatic cars are nice! ;)

Had to be with the girl the whole night, cause the rest of the family where at the Phillies game. It was a struggle through the whole night... But I finally got her in bed at 9 p.m. and now she is sleeping! (I hope!)

I am really tired and has been crying tonight, a long day, a lot of work and then my homesickness! It just became to much for me to handle!

Hope I can fall asleep now, but have to stay upstairs for a while, until the rest of the family gets home, so I'll notice if the girl wakes up or something..

Yeah, this was the first day the children spent at home with me. Was really good actually! Did'nt have to wake them up and they could play and eat breakfast when they wanted to and so on :) The girl got up around 7 a.m. as usual and we watched "The smurfs" together, she loves them! We boiled some eggs for breakfast and then we played with the lego and we built a Dog house. She put her fantasydogs in there, cute :) The boy played Kinnect and I tried too, haha. I was really bad at it! But I'll get better, gonna beat him ;)

The kids have an artclass from 12- 1.20 so I drove them over there and dropped them of. During their artclass I went to the postoffice and went home for a while. Have to figure out how to watch them and make the laundry and the things at the same time. But today it went really good! Had all the laundry done in the afternoon. Picked them up at artclass and dropped the boy off for a playdate. Me and the girl were gonna spend the afternoon alone. I asked her if she wanted to go to Panera bread and have a cookie and lemonade, and offcourse she wanted that! :) Had a really good time, and when we got home we continued to play with the lego, and she taught me some boardgames.

When my hostmum had picked the boy up from playdate it was time for me to leave for the gym. Had decided to go to a class there today, callad Bodystep. It was really nice actually, but not so easy the first time! Will get better. Feels great to work out more, it motivates me more to have people around me while doing it! A class is wonderful! :) Had sushi for dinner today, tasted nice!

It went really good today, just have to learn how to handle their conflicts, cause they fight a lot!

I raised up at 6.15 a.m. and made some breakfast, put the adress into the GPS and woke the twingirl up. We went to the soccerfields and it was like pouring rain on us. Well, that's how it works, you have to play, no matter what, I know that ;) So I took my umbrella and watched the game. They lost but L was kind of good. She was a little bit dissappointed cause she really wanted me to see the team play a good game. But there will come more opportunities in this fall! :)

We went home and I feel that I like her, I get along really good with her. She felt like my littlesister, which she kind of is. It feels great that there aren't so many years between us. And maybe she likes having some girl to talk to, haha. L made two cakes to have for dessert after dinner.

Before dinner I fell asleep on my bed, felt exhausted! Early evening tonight I guess!
It was nice to just relax and be at home today, think they appriciate that I did it :) Talked to my hostmum about some things today, it is really easy to do that!

Tomorrow the kids are gonna be at home with me for the first time during the whole day, but it will be great. I'm going to drive them to artcamp around noon and then to a playdate, will be good.

I slept as long as I could, but couldn't sleep so long, cause it sounded like elephants were coming trough the floor, haha. But they had fun, so I didn't mind so much. Had decided to meet at Kim's place at 1.30 p.m. and then go to the mall and catch up with some other girls for lunch. We had lunch at Subway, was nice, haha! :) My thought was to not shop anything... But when you find something you really like it's hard to resist, haha! Anyway, I bought shinguards for the soccer, a pair of shorts to play soccer in, bodylotion at "Bath and Bodyworks", that store is wonderful! Really like it! Then I bought some panties(the ones I found at Target wasn't that nice). I also bought a pair of highheels. Thet like talked to me and said I should buy them, really love them!!



They are really comfortble too! Great! ;)

We left the mall at 7.30 and went to a restaurant to have dinner. I ordered pasta with shrimps, tasted really good! :)

The girl woke up really early today, think she wanted to learn how to make "a flat egg", haha. She was in a good mood and even brushed her hair by herself! :) Very nice! The boy was as usual good but they fighted a little bit, but that's what siblings do, right? :)

Fridays isn't that nice when it comes to laundry, there's a lot, but it was fine. I put some laundry in the mascine and then went down to the gym. I was on the bike for about 35 minutes and then I ran on the treadmill for about 15 minutes. Also I did some strenghtening training with dumbells for my arms and some squat to keep my legs in shape ;) Felt great! Spent almost 1½ hour in the gym.

I had some lunch and then I went to the pool, didn't want to go anywhere today. Began reading my third and last book in swedish, can't read so fast!



I couldn't see a single cloud in the sky, it was so hot outside today. Couldn't stand it for a long time, just lay there for about 1½ hour and then I went inside and took a powernap in my bed, the heat makes me tired! Texted Andrea to see if she had any plans for the evening and she asked me if I wanted to come to the movietheatre with some more girls.
Got myself some dinner and then we met for coffee before just to hang out. But we didn't find that Starbucks, so we drove for noting, cause we ended up att Mc Donalds, haha. We saw the movie " Friends with benefits", and it was kind of great. It was worth paying for :) Got home at 1.15 a.m. so I'm tired now, going to bed.

Can sleep as long as I want to in the morning, great! :)

Today was an awsome morning! Both of the kids were really great and there were no problems at all! :) The girl helped me make breakfast this morning, she wanted scrambled eggs. Then she also made eggs for her brother, so nice! :) We went to the bus without any problems to, a great start on the day!

Then I made everything that I needed to and went to the college. There I asked them about that course I wanted to take, but ít won't start until the 1st of september, so I can take it during daytime, great! Maybe will miss the second or third lesson, but it works! :) I'm happy for that. My hostmum too, she wants me to take the classes I want to take and is doing everything she can to wok it out, so cute of her :) Paid everything right away, $400. Expensive to go to college here... But it's worth it, and I get $500 for my studies from my hostfamily :) The rest I have to pay by myself.. Cause I need 6 credits/80 hours, and that course is only 3 credits. I'm thinking about taking a weekendcourse in the spring to get 3 more credits, we'll see how I do :)

Then I went to the pharmacy, cause I got cold sores in my mouth, and they really hurts! Needed something for it.



It was big in there, and they had a lot of things. A little bit of food also, haha.





So this is what I bought at the pharmacy: Anbesol for my cold sores, and a straightener(which was on sale) for my hair. The straightener only costed $15 = 110 kr, cheap! :) The Ambesol really works, I can't feel any of the pain when I put it on my cold sores, but it also get the rest of my mouth anesthetized, haha. But it's good!

When the kids got home from camp they had a snack and the boy had a pianolesson. Then my hostmum came home with some food and we had dinner. Pasta, with "chicken crumlings", they were nice! :) The girl painted my nails again, but she begins to get really good at it, it gets better and better. She just need to practice. Think I need to buy nailpolishremover tomorrow;) After that I went to a clustermeeting, it was bad, I allready knew everything, but at least I met some of the girls that are in the same cluster as I am :)

Just talked to Jaquie, and we'll go to  NY next weekend, wohoo! ;) It'll be fun.
I am going to the King Of Prussia mall this weekend, but I shouldn't shop anything more.. Spend to much money! But I'll probably end up with something new anyway. But just a little thing if that's the case,  going to save money now!

This morning was really bad... But I guess there are some mornings that are like this, but it was hard! But i managed to get them on the bus anyway! :) Then I put som laundry in the mascine, made all the beds and got down to my computor. 9.30 Kim wrote to me and asked if I was gonna come to Panera and meet her... Had totally forgotten that, so I had to hurry! A lot of traffic and an accident on the road made me even later, but they waited for me and it was really nice sitting there drinking some coffee and just talking about everything. We sat there until 12.45 p.m. and I sais I had to go to the college, so that's what I did.



I sat down and waited for an advisor to call my name so I could sign up for some courses. I sat, and sat, and sat... And finally, after 1½!! hour it was my turn. I got help, but I couldn't take courses that I wanted to take, cause some of them you have to take courses before, that I thought seemed to be boring... So I finally decided to take " Development psychology". That course will be nice! I'll have to get back to the college tomorrow to, cause I couldn't sign up and don't pay at the same time, so I need the check from my hostmum. She gave me that when I got home :) Now the problem is that I don't know if I can take that course cause it during daytimes with start the 22th of august... And at that moment the kids will be at home during the days.. So I have to talk to the people at the college tomorrow and ask if I could take the same course monday evenings in the beginning and then take it on tuesdays and thursdays 12.45-2.10 p.m. A lot of trouble.. But I have something to do ;)

This evening the twins came over(my hostdads kids), and they had really missed them, haha. We had a familydinner together and that was really nice. It's nice sitting down sometimes and eat together. I miss that from home, cause here we often eat when we are hungry and make something for ourselves. I mostly eat with the children.

The rest of the evening we played rockband on Wii and that was really fun! The girl sat in my knee and covered us with a blanket, she said my feet where cold! :) These are the moments that makes me forget about the hard mornings with her! :)

I raised up and helped the children through the morning. Then I talked for a while with mum on skype about hotelbooking around newyear. She booked a hotel, wihoo! :) 8 nights! Allready looking forward to it! After that I took my car and drove to the childrens school so I should know where it was, but it was easy finding the school. Then I was supposed to find the Targetstore that is closest to where I live, so I put in the adress in the GPS and drove. But I couldn't find it for some reason! But I bought two pair of shoes that I've been looking for.



A pair of ballerinashoes, I really liked them, they are comfortable, and then I bought a pair of flipflops too for $4.

So I didn't find Target, so I went back home and looked at internet to find the right adress. As I could see it was the same, so I put the adress in again and drove in the same direction again and ended up in the same place... But this time I saw the Targetsign, it was almost next to the shoeshop that I bought the shoes in, how could I miss it!? I went in there to buy panties, socks, lensfluid and some hygienestuff... But I ended up with some more things ;)



A T-shirt, A purple basic tanktop, a blue/white tank top and a cardigan. The cardigan was so nice! :)



Lensfluid, five pair of panties, and four pair of socks. A also bought some more things.
All of the things I bought today(including the shoes) costed around $110 totally. I really like Target!

When I got home I had got an answer from the soccerteam I had contacted.. They wanted me to come tonight! So I said sure, that'll be fun! So around 6.30 p.m. I took the car and drove for around 30 minutes(a lot of traffic) to an indoorcenter. I met up with some girls and we played games around 1½ hour. I was exhausted, cause I ran so much cause they didn't really needed me in the goal but they needed me on the field :) It's like "Korpen" in sweden. Had a really great time! I've missed soccer. Then one of the girls asked me if I wanted to play on thursday nights to, outdoor soccer, with a coed team. Cause they really needed a goalie! So she is going to email me the information and then I might have two days a week with soccer ;) A progress!

Right now I'm exhausted and will sleep well after the training. See you!

I took the children to the bus in the morning, and we even had time to play today, they were really good! :) I'm happy for that! Then Andrea called me and we went down to the college together to sign up for classes. We needed to first apply for the college and then decide what courses we wanted to take, so we only did the applyment today. But it's one step forward anyway! Then I took my car and went straight to the Social Security Office in Norristown. Today I could apply for the card cause I brought the letter from Au Pair in America, that's great! :) I stopped at Dunkin Donuts and bought "Iced Caramel Latte". I tastes really good! Not so healthy but anyway ;) I even drove home without help from the GPS, a progress... haha.

Talked to mum and dad on Skype and that was nice, then I talked for a while with Markus to :) I miss you guys! Gonna check that thing with the hotels tomorrow so I know more and so on! Would be great to be able to book it now. After that I lay down  by the pool and finished my book. Time to take another one ;) I also read through the courseinformation for college.



I found some courses that seems to be interesting! The college i called "Montgomery County Community College"

I picked up the children at the bus and they got some fruit for snack. They wanted to go swimming so that's what we did! I played for almost an hour with them in the water, that was really funny! :) Think they liked it cause they didn't wanted to go inside to get some dinner when my hostmum told them to.

Nicolina texted me and asked if I wanted to meet, and if she could come over. She drove over here and we talked and discussed different opportunities to study with college and weekendcourses. She is really nice! :) She also told me that it wasn't that expensive to take a course as they said at the college today, cause we are supposed to get the same price as those who lives in this community. That's great! :)

I got to Nicolina at 11 p.m. and we went to the King Of Prussia mall. It was huge! I just couldn't believe it, haha. Well, that might be cause it's the eastern coasts biggest mall. So big, and we didn't even see all the shops in there. I found a lot of things today and I spent money to ;) But not so much for that many things I think!

As a conclusion of the shopping it has been awsome and I've had a really nice day :) Great with some new clothes to put into the closet ;)

When I got home the family had come home from the beachhouse and there were mpre people in the house to. Their friends were there and they had mexican food. My hostdad is a great chef actually, it tasted really nice. Grilled pineapple was so good tasting! :) I played with the kids at the trampoline and we had a nice time.

I've had a busy weekend and now I will sleep great this night! ;)

I raised up 9.30 today so I should have enough of time to get ready to go to Philly.. But mum called me on skype so we talked for 15 minutes and then I talked to Markus on skype for another 15 minutes and suddenly there was only 30 minutes left until I had to take the car to the trainstation. I hurried up a little bit and got to the trainstation in time, so that was good. The other two girls that went by train, Andrea and Eli, met me there and we went together.
Well, I'll just put pictures for the day here and you'll see what I've seen. We walked a lot and saw great things :)

We couldn't go to Amelie tonight cause she got invited to go with her hostfamily to a concert, so I called my hostmum and asked her if it was okey if I took some girls over on a movienight. That was okey and they came at 7 p.m. We ordered pizza and sat in the kitchen talking. They really like the house I'm living in here, haha. We watched the movie "Step Up 2".

I have had an awsome day, thank's girls! :) And tomorrow I'm meeting Nicolina at her house 11 a.m. and then we are going to the King Of Prussia mall to shop! Sooo nice, cause it's one of the biggest malls in USA! :)

Well, I know the morningroutines now, now I just have to figure out a way to manage them in the mornings. I am trying to try different things, some of them work, some of them don't. I'll figure it out! :) I did some laundry and went straight down to the gym to work out for a while, felt great, it's just the motivation that is lost, but it'll come I hope! :)

I had a lot of things on my to do list today so I took the car and went away. My first stop was the postoffice to send some letters to the last AuPair which had came here. After that I went to the Social Security Office to get a Social Security number, but that didn't went that well. I had to bring like an envelope with the adress which I am living at here in the U.S to prove that I actually live here.. So That'll be when I had got a letter adressed for me. Then Nicki texted me and said she was on her way to my house(we were gonna meet there), so I had to hurry home. Nicki was one of my roomies during orientation :) Anyway, when I got home I showed her the house and then she followed me to the bank. I had to get an account to put my salary in! I got my first salary today! :) $195 plus $25 extra to put gas in the car. The gas isn't that expensive here, cause everyone drives their car like everywhere.

Then my thought was to go to the gym to get a membership so I can work out more. It's so much more fun when you can meet people and take classes! So that's what we did. Nicki told me that her membership costs $4/month = 28 swedish crones / month. So cheap ;) But the only reason to that is that we are AuPairs and we don't earn so much money. But I like it!



The gym is like huge! So big in there! :) This will be awsome!

We went home and Nicki had to get her hostchildren at camp so we said goodbye to each other. I picked my children up by the bus and they wanted to play outside in the heat.. so hot! But we draw a big monopolygame with crayons on the asphalt, and they really liked it! :) We could be the players and then we just draw on the asphalt when we bought something how much money we had left. It worked out really well actually :)

Well, the family went to the beachhouse this weekend, I could have joined if I had wanted to, but I wanted to go to the movie tonight and to Philly tomorrow, so I didn't! Amelie picked me up at 9.20 p.m. and we met up with the other girls outside the theatre. The movie was great, I really liked it! :) "Crazy, Stupid love". We stayed outside of the theatre for a while to talk about tomorrow and we decided to take the 11-train to Philly! It'll be fun. Amelie invited us for a movienight tomorrow night and we'll like order food and just have fun! :)

I did the usual morningroutines and it went on kind of good. Hard again to get the clothes on, but finally. I'll have to make it like a game I think :) When they went on the bus I made the kids beds and my own and throwed some laundry in the mascine. I knew that I wouldn't have time to work out before Amelie got here so I didn't. I just lay down in my bed for a while and just relaxed, that was nice :)

At 11 o clock Amelie picked me up and she showed me all the places in Blue Bell, well, not all of them but a lot :) The most important anyway; malls, great restaurants, foodstores ;) When we had been driving around for a while she showed me the house where she lives and it was so nice! They had their own movie theatre, haha.. So cool. We took a bottle of lemonade and talked about like everything for a while. I was hungry so we took her car to a great restaurant which had soup, bread, sandwiches, and salads. It was really nice in there!

She drove me home when lunch was finished and I showed her around in my house. It's kind of similar but still it isn't to her home :) But we like it here! We said goodbye and I might go with them to the cinema tomorrow night, they were going to see a typical girl movie, so why not? It'll be fun to meet some more people :)



I went outside to the pool and lay down there until I had to pick up the kids by the bus. I really like the book I'm reading! I went outside in the little sunshine that wanted to be today, but it's great anyway :)

When the children got inside they wanted to play Fia again so we did that until the boys pianoteacher came. I helped the girl shower while the boy was practising his piano. We had some meat and turkey for dinner along with vegetables and that was nice.

I also have found a soccerteam to play with, so that's awsome! It's a female soccerteam not far away from where I live. They have games once a week and do not have practises if I got it right, but the head thing is that I got to play! :) So a happy girl right now!

A helped the girl to bed cause I offered me to read for her, and offcourse she wanted that. She didn't wanted me to leave, but I told her that we'll see each other in the morning. Hope she sleeps a little bit longer tomorrow than she did today. Well, I've had a great day and it was nice talking to someone and not be alone through the whole days :)

I think I'm getting the morningroutines now, and I also think that the children gets better and better :) Looking forward to see how it goes tomorrow! they got on the bus in time today to, that's great :) When they had got into the bus I got some laudry in the mascine and the dryer and went downstairs to the gym to work out for a while.



I got on the bike and sat there for 40 minutes and then I did some strengthening workout. It felt great after, I had been working out for about 60 minutes.

I didn't really wanted to go anywhere today cause my hostmum told me that there was a guy coming that was going to fix the soundsystem, and the volumecontrols and that I should let them in. They didn't come until 1 o clock but it actually was great just being today. Not do anything. The weather wasn't that good either so I didn't want to go out and lay down by the pool. So what I did was that I checked out som classes to take at the college here. Or classes that interests me. I'll have to see if I'm able to take these, so I'll talk to a counselor at the college maybe on friday. It was also great to hear dad's voice again! How I'm missing you! I skyped with the whole family today except my older sister.. Elin, you have to get skype so we can talk! :)

I picked up the children at 4.15 by the bus and they had some fruit and then they wanted to play monopoly. That's great, I like it to :) That's a game that can last like forever, haha, so we had to finish it and have dinner instead, my hostmum made some pasta with meatballs(they are not like the swedish ones). But they tasted good :) I told her that I can make swedish meatballs some day, and she told me the kids probably will like them, so I am gonna ask mum for the recipe.

My hostdad got home and I tried something that I think is typical american:



I tried peanutbutter and jam on a cracker! I tasted good actually, but not a favorite :) It was swedish bread, wonder if he bought that one for me, haha. Maybe :) "Wasas Delikatess".

Tomorrow will be a funny day, cause I'm going out with Amelie, a german Au Pair, and she is gonna show me the area and then we'll have lunch together :) She also asked me if I wanted to join to Philly this weekend, and that would be awsome! I am also speaking to a swedish girl who is in the same cluster as me, and we'll probably hang out this weekend. See you!

I raised up 5.15 and lay dowm upstairs, fell asleep for a while and  then woke up when the girl woke up. She lay down with me and fell asleep again :) We went upstairs to get her dressed and so on at 7 a.m. It's the get dressed part that's hard but it'll be better, I'll give it time :) The boy raised up 7.30 and I made them scrambled eggs for breakfast, they liked it.. :) I got them on the bus in time today to, that's good!

The housekeeper was in the house so I talked a little bit with them and then I went to the bike in the gym and did that for about 40 minutes. That felt good! I'll make that to a good habit I think, in the mornings :) Then the great adventure came, I had to find a store called Target, the one where my hostdad gave me a giftcard. A little bit nervous I got out to the car, but it was easier then I thougt it was, it was just to search for Target in the GPS and then I just followed the directions! The GPS is so nice to have around here, otherwise I'll probably get lost when I was driving. Target was a really great store, kind of like Ullared at home, they had everything and it was so big in there!



I bought a dress and a pair of jeansshorts and a tank top.



Also this long dress, it's my favorite of the clothes I bought today. It's actually purple but it look like it's blue.



These things I also got from there, shavinggel,  a toilet bag for my makeup, a razor, hairbands, and eyeshadow! :)
All of these things for about 100 dollars. And with the giftcard I only had to pay 75 by myself, awsome! :) Anyway it's so cheap here if you compare it to Sweden, I like it!

I found my way home and I came home alive, woohoo ;) It's a fancy car I'm driving through this year, a Honda ;)

When I got home I put on my bikini and took my book and lay down by the pool, it was nice. I took a floating sunchair so I could be floating in the water while reading. I love it ;) I'll have plenty of stuffs to do later through the year so I take the days when the children are at camp as vacation. My hostmum told me to relax and have "vacation", cause she knows that I've been working a lot before I got here. I brought some lunch to the pool:



I'm usually not that hungry when it's so hot outside, so some fresh fruit was good! :)

When the children got home from camp we made us ready to go to a "playdate" at a friend of the boy's house. We brought swimclothes and my hostdad drove us over there. I was nice of them to invite me to I think, and I talked a lot to their AuPair, she's from Brasil, and is in her second year as an AuPair. She was really nice and I think I'll meet her again :) She gave me a lot of hints about where to go and how the college is. Really nice! Steph picked us up I told her we've had a really great time in the pool, eating pizza and talking. She really wantes me to feel like home here and she talkes to me about everything. That's great, cause I feel like I can talk to her if there's any problem or something like that. Now I'm going to sleep, it's been a long day.

Today I woke up at 5.15 and got up and lay down on the couch with my pillow and the worlds most cosy blanket. I really like it! The girl came down at like 6.00 and she lay there with me fore a while. we got up to her room to put on some clothes and make her hair and that stuff. So far that good :) The boy woke up at 7.30 and went straight downstairs and I got him some breakfast. She in the other way was a little bit hard this morning. She probably is trying my to see how much she can do and not. But I got them out on time for the bus, which I really am impressed by;)

I had set up a time with mum to talk on skype at 11 a.m so I had to stay at home until then. I realized I could take a run thruogh the neighborhood before so I put in some laudry in the mascine and then I went out. A little bit afraid to get lost so I didn't run that far from the house. But it was so hot outside that I couldn't run, I had to walk back to the house, tomorrow I'll just work out at the gym in the house!

It was nice talking to mum and hear her voice, a little bit homesick I think.. :) I also skyped with Markus and how I am longing for him, but it'll get better I hope :) Then Diana, my counselor came by to see how I was doing and bring me some information about different things like driving in the U.S, studying and going to the gym they recommend. That information will help me a lot!



This is the drivers manual, I'll read a little bit now and then, cause some rules are different from home, like that you can turn right when the light is red sometimes, a little bit weird.

I brought my information and lay down by the pool for about two hours reading thruogh all of it, that was so nice! It has been like 35 degrees here today, a little bit hot. My hostmum got home kind of early today so she picked up the children at the bus and made us dinner, cause when they got home it was 4.30 p.m. Then we've been playing Fia and they taught me an american game, I think this year will be great, I'll just have to get thruogh the first weeks with the children so they get to know me.


My hostmum helped me to order these purple clogs, cause it'll be easier to have a shoe to just slip in to with the feet.

Today I raised up at 10.30 so I should have time to get ready for the baseballgame they wanted me to come with them to. I had breakfast and then we left home 11.30 and went directly to the baseballarena. It's kind of cool actually cause all the arenas; hockey, baseball, football are in the same area. We went inside and I got surprised, it was so big in there! We sat close to the field. I had no clue about the rules in baseball so Steph tried to explain during the game, but is a little bit hard though. I think I'll get it later, cause the boy likes to play baseball and he'll probably teach me better.



The baseballarena was crowded, about 45.000 people in there. But it was fun!


Steph bought me a T-shirt at the game, that'll be fun to have in the future :)



This is the nice Phillies T-shirt! :) The baseballteam is called Phillies, the game we saw today was
Philadelphia - Pitsburgh. Phillies actually is a topteam in their league.


After the game we went to a fancy restaurant called FORK and ate an amazing dinner. I brought the meet I didn't finish eating home so I can eat it for lunch tomorrow. I helped the girl to shower and she is a little bit tricky, but Steph told me it'll get better after a while. I can understand that it is hard to get a new person into the life. But she is cute :) I also taught them how to play "Fia med knuff" today, I think they liked it! :) But it was a little bit hard to explain the rules for them, but I got them to understand anyway :) It has been a great day! Tomorrow I'll be left by myself with the children for the first time, hope it will be good. I'll raise up at 5.30 every day except the weekends I'm not working. So an early morning tomorrow!
